UAAT is now accepting proposals for the “2026 UAAT International Collaboration Program for Talent Development”. Applications from UAAT member universities are welcome.
1. Purpose of the Program
Building on established partnerships and aligned with the Ministry of Education’s priority areas, this program advances talent development collaboration between UAAT and its international partner alliances/systems. It supports international platforms and networks in key strategic fields, with the aim of cultivating emerging and international talent and strengthening the global competitiveness and visibility of higher education.
2. Eligible Applicants
Applications are open to UAAT member universities.
3. Partner Institutions
(1) Eligible projects must include at least one institution from UAAT’s five partner alliances/systems.
(2) Projects may involve QS/THE top-50 universities, leading research institutions, or key laboratories where justified by the project design. Evidence of resources and collaboration intent should be provided.
(3) Institutions and personnel from the Mainland Area, Hong Kong, and Macao are not eligible.
4. Collaboration Fields
Projects should align with UAAT’s core values, priority areas, and industry talent needs. Priority fields include: (1) Semiconductors; (2) Artificial Intelligence; (3) Smart Manufacturing; (4) Quantum Technology; (5) Space Technology; (6) Health Sciences and Biotechnology; (7) Energy Technology; (8) Sustainability and Circular Economy; (9) New Agriculture; and (10) Digital Humanities and Social Sciences.
5. Application Requirements
(1) Each application must include at least two UAAT member universities and one institution from UAAT’s partner alliances/systems; international partners may come from different alliances/systems. Proposals must define each party’s role, responsibilities, and contribution.
(2) Each UAAT member university is eligible to lead one application only. Multiple internal proposals must be reviewed and consolidated before submission.

7. Project Period and Funding Allocation
The project period is from December 1, 2026, to November 30, 2027. UAAT funding is capped at NTD 10 million per project. The program is expected to support eight projects, subject to review results and annual budget availability.
8. Application Procedure
Proposals and supporting documents are due by noon Taiwan time on August 31, 2026. Applications must be emailed to uaatsec@ntu.edu.tw. Late, incomplete, or ineligible submissions will not be considered.
