In November 2025, the Secretariat once again led a delegation of representatives from the 12 member universities of the University Academic Alliance in Taiwan (UAAT) to visit the Kyushu Okinawa Open University Alliance (KOOU). This marked the second visit since 2024, following nearly a year of collaborative projects and exchanges between the two sides. The delegation visited Kagoshima University, University of Miyazaki, and the University of the Ryukyus, all of which are recognized for their academic strengths in agriculture, science, engineering, social sciences and humanities, life sciences, and medicine. In addition to institutional meetings and project presentations, the delegation held face-to-face discussions with faculty and students from KOOU member universities on research collaboration, international young scholar exchange programs, and talent cultivation. The visit further strengthened academic cooperation and talent development partnerships between Taiwan and Japan.
