Biography:
Dr. Petra Vystrčilová is the Vice-Dean for Internationalization and External Relations at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University in Brno, and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Primary Education. Her professional interests focus on the issues of undergraduate teacher training, the development of professional competencies of future teachers, innovation in pedagogical practice, and education for sustainable development. As part of her scientific and research activities, she is a researcher and co-researcher in national and international projects, including Erasmus+ programs and internal grant schemes at Masaryk University. She is the author and co-author of several professional publications and research reports reflecting current trends in teacher training and pedagogical research.

Title: Czech Higher Education
Abstract:
This lecture presented the Czech education system from preschool to university level. The lecture covered the main objectives of each level of education, how they are interconnected, and a brief overview of the concept of education. The lecture included photographs from schools, as well as videos showing what education in the Czech Republic looks like in reality. The lecture included a discussion with students about their motivation for traveling abroad.

Title: Supporting the Well-being of Exchange Students: Good Practices from the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University
Abstract:
This lecture outlined the main strategies and approaches of the Faculty of Education towards supporting incoming students from abroad. The lecture included specific examples of events and activities that the faculty is preparing for incoming students to facilitate their studies at the Faculty of Education, to help them orient themselves in the Czech environment and culture, and to ensure that students do not feel lonely when they are far from home. The aim of this lecture was to motivate students to study at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic.
