The Ministry of Education of Taiwan (R.O.C.) has established the University Academic Alliance in Taiwan to integrate universities into an alliance and establish overseas hubs, aiming to foster the talent circulation and exchange.
To achieve this, twelve universities with key research institutes have formed the University Academic Alliance in Taiwan (UAAT). The member universities include National Taiwan University, National Cheng Kung University, National Tsing Hua University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National Taipei University of Technology, National Chengchi University, National Chung Hsing University, National Central University, National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei Medical University, and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. The alliance collaborates with leading universities, research institutions, and industries across the globe. It covers a wide range of disciplines including semiconductors, engineering, science, life sciences, agriculture, social science, humanities and arts, etc.
This innovative framework is designed to consolidate the resources and expertise of member universities, facilitate diverse forms of collaboration, such as research, curriculum development, and faculty exchange. Its goal is to strengthen partnerships with top global universities/institutions, thereby enhancing bilateral relationships and promoting international talent mobility and exchange.
