Title: Entrepreneurship in Japan/Fukuoka: Startup Ecosystem and Student Perspectives
Abstract:
Japan's entrepreneurship ecosystem has been evolving, with cities like Fukuoka emerging as dynamic startup hubs. While Japan is known for its strong corporate culture, recent years have seen an increasing focus on fostering innovation and supporting startups. Fukuoka, designated as a National Strategic Special Zone for startups, offers various incentives and a vibrant ecosystem that attracts entrepreneurs.
In this lecture, I will discuss Japan’s startup ecosystem, with a particular focus on Fukuoka’s role in driving innovation. Additionally, I will explore Japanese students' entrepreneurial intentions, and their perspectives on startups and self-employment.
